Wisdom is Key - Marriage

I have come to understand that marriage is more than what people make of it. Marriage is probably the toughest college anyone will be enrolled into. You never graduate. My mom continually says that it is the school that gives you a certificate even before you start.

Before I got engaged, I underestimated the ability for people to get along, make compromises for each other especially at the point of major decisions. It is taking a lot of tip-toeing and wisdom to handle parents, parents-in-law, extended family and the rest. The bible allows man to leave his family and cleave to his wife, but culture makes it tough to do.

More than ever, I understand why it is important to deal with even your partner in wisdom. I can't begin to stress how much wisdom is important in everything we do. In each situation I find myself, I understand more why Solomon asked for wisdom above all else.

Drawing a line between my home and my house is important. My home is with my husband and my house is with everyone else. Respect, humility and love is what makes a home, but the wisdom to utilize these things makes it a beautiful and peaceful home.

What do you do when the pressure is much from parents and church alike? What do you do when you do not know what to do? Well, do what Hezekiah did, go to God in prayer and seek His wisdom and direction on issues that plague you.

So, to gain widom, go to the wisest of all, God. Go to the bible and get a word for each day.

"Wisdom is the principal thing and in all your wisdom, get understanding" - God.

That Proverbs Woman!
